Westworld Season 3 will only be eight episodes long

September 5, 2019 by Liam Waddington

The upcoming third season of the HBO sci-fi series, Westworld, will only consist of eight episodes, compared to the first two seasons which both featured 10 episodes – making it the shortest season yet.

According to a new report by The Wrap, there are currently no details on the length of the episodes regarding if HBO intends to make the episodes longer to make up for the shortage of the season. Additionally, the newest season is set to premiere within the first half of 2020.

In a statement given to The Wrap, HBO programming chief Casey Bloys discussed whether the third season might feature familiar faces except the confirmed returns of the characters who were featured in the Comic-Con trailer. Bloys simply said:

“If you didn’t see them in the trailer, I’m not gonna respond.”
