Psychological horror The Medium coming to Xbox Series X and PC at the end of the year

May 7, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Bloober Team, the developers behind Blair Witch, Observer and Layers of Fear, has announced their latest project The Medium will be launching on the Xbox Series X and PC at the end of the year.  This tension-fueled, psychological horror will have players interacting with the real world and that of the spirits.  A new trailer can be seen below showing off the game in all of its dark and sinister glory.

Taking the role of psychic medium Marianne, players must set out to discover the cause of the visions that hound her.  Marianne can see and interact with items and spirits across both the real and the spirit world, the latter being a realm where nothing is as it seems.

“Every one of our games has a central theme that drives its creative and technological design. In The Medium, we focus on perspective and perception. When you change your point of view, you discover that things are more complicated and nuanced than you initially thought” – said Piotr Babieno, CEO at Bloober Team. “The Medium is our most ambitious game ever and we can’t wait to show you how we’re translating this vision into a psychological horror.”

Look out for more news coming on The Medium later in the year.
