Chuck Norris brings Christmas cheer to World of Tanks

December 4, 2020 by Andrew Newton

This past year may have been the worst possible one we could have imagined but it hasn’t stopped Chuck Norris (what could?) from ensuring tank commanders in World of Tanks have something to cheer them up during this festive season.  This year’s Holiday Ops will have players place their attention of baubles and battles.  If you want to see Chuck Norris perform his own style of Christmas miracle then enjoy the teaser trailer below…

The Christmas cheer starts off on 9th December as a cosy little mountain town will become available for commanders to decorate in any way they wish.  Place tinsel and lights while earning great rewards but do it before the 11th.  Make a good job of the decorations though as this town is the home of Chuck Norris.  There’s lots of ornaments to collect covering 4 special collections and these will help increase present yield.

Making a return this year are the popular Snow Maidens.  These four ladies will be responsible for a specific collection, these are Christmas, New Year, Lunar New Year and Magic New Year.  By selecting rewards from the same collection each day, a special meter will fill up and lower-tier ornaments will be excluded from the daily gifts.

Chuck has devised some special challenges for tank commanders to enjoy this festive season and these will test resolve and mettle on a daily basis.  Each day a new mission will become available, with a total of 32 challenges to attempt during the event.  These challenges will provide rewards with some being so special that you just won’t want to miss out on them, including a special vehicle slot for Holiday Ops, allowing players to choose their own vehicle bonuses and Commander Chuck himself.

“Players like to say I must have been on the other side when they lose a battle; well, now it might just be true,” says Chuck Norris, World of Tanks Ambassador. “As you all know, even when the chips are down, I’m not one to shy away from a challenge and I hope that my fellow tankers do me proud when they take on Chuck’s Challenge!”

“2020 is drawing to a close and we want to give the community something to remember,” states Max Chuvalov, World of Tanks Global Publishing Director. “Holiday Ops is always our biggest in-game event and it’s the perfect way to see off the year! We hope that this will really get everyone in the festive spirit!”

As one final Christmas pressie for players, there will be the brand-new Pz.Sfl. IC, a Tier IV German tank destroyer with an autoloader.

Take on Chuck’s challenge this winter in World of Tanks.
