According to Deadline, Carey Mulligan will follow-up her Oscar-nominated turn in Promising Young Woman by teaming up with Zoey Kazan for Universal Pictures’ She Said.
Based on the New York Times investigation into the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal, She Said will see Mulligan and Kazan portray Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, authors of the book She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement, who for years worked to uncover the stories which led to the start of #MeToo movement and the disgraced Hollywood moguls eventual 23-year jail sentence.
Co-produced by Annapurna Pictures and Plan B Entertainment, She Said will be directed by Emmy Award winning filmmaker Maria Schrader (Unorthodox), who will work from a script by Oscar winner Rebecca Lenkiewicz (Ida, Disobedience).
