Jordan Peele announces new film Nope with mysterious teaser poster

July 22, 2021 by EJ Moreno

One of the modern masters of horror is back with a new film. Jordan Peele has scared critics, viewers, and awards voters alike with his hit horror films Get Out and 2019’s Us. Now, he’s here with an upcoming new project simply titled Nope.

Yes, Nope will be Peele’s next film, and it’s expected to be released exactly one year from this announcement – his first summer film. Another exciting note teased on the poster is that the film will have select scenes shot in IMAX; with the summer release and IMAX sequence, could this be the Academy Award winner’s biggest film to date?

In Nope, we see Peele team with recent Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya, fellow nominee Steven Yeun, and the fan-favorite Keke Palmer. The Hollywood Reporter also notes that Barbie Ferreira and Brandon Perea will also be featured in the film.

Little is known about the plot, as the filmmaker is infamous for keeping the film’s secrets close to his chest. The film is part of a deal with Universal Pictures, which also distributed Peele’s Us and Get Out.

Check out the full poster here:

Nope is set for release on July 22nd, 2022.
