Jason Momoa debuts new costume for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

September 5, 2021 by EJ Moreno

Out with the old, in with the new for Aquaman 2. The upcoming DCEU sequel aims to shake things up and give its lead character a brand new look – but don’t worry, orange and green fans, the traditional suit Jason Momoa wore in the first film isn’t gone yet.

In a recent post on Instagram, Momoa took to the platform to debut some new Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom images. The upcoming James Wan-directed film is heading to cinemas in 2022 and bringing a unique style to our titular character.

“Second round. New suit. More action,” Momoa wrote on Instagram. We see a new darker suit for Aquaman in the images, which Momoa rocks with his usual swagger. The look is a departure from the first film, which saw the character go a very traditional route.

According to director James Wan, the second suit will be Arthur’s “stealth suit” for the movie. He went on to add that the new suit is “Atlantean tech based on cephalopod’s camouflaging ability. David Leslie Johnson and I were inspired by the 80’s “blue suit.”
