Sony schedules Madame Web for July 2023 release

April 21, 2022 by Ricky Church

Sony has set a release date of July 7th 2023 for its Marvel Universe film Madame Web starring Dakota Johnson (Bad Times at the El Royale) and Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria).

Created by Denny O’Neil and John Romita Jr., the character of Madame Web – a.k.a. Cassandra Webb – debuted in 1980’s Amazing Spider-Man #210, and has typically depicted as an elderly blind woman suffering from the neurological condition myasthenia gravis. This gives her powerful psychic abilities, but leaves her permanently attached to a life support system shaped like a spider’s web.
