Ethan Hawke introduces The Grabber in The Black Phone featurette

June 1, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its release later this month, a new featurette has been released for the upcoming big screen adaptation of Joe Hill’s short horror story The Black Phone, which sees star Ethan Hawke discuss his terrifying character “The Grabber”; watch it here…

Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.

Featuring alongside Ethan Hawke and Mason Thames in the cast of The Black Phone are James Ransone (It Chapter Two), Madeleine McGraw (Toy Story 4) and Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan).

The Black Phone arrives in cinemas on June 24th.
