Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Final Film’ has become as synonymous with the director as any of his modern masterpieces, but now we’re able to actually give a title, because news has emerged that his tenth feature film will be called The Movie Critic and begin shooting this year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and Pulp Fiction director is putting the pieces in place for what has long been labelled his final movie.
Tarantino has already completed the script for The Movie Critic, and while there are no official details available, sources describe the story as being set in late 1970s Los Angeles with a female lead at its centre.
Speculation is already mounting that The Movie Critic might focus on the career of legendary film journalist Pauline Kael, who butted heads with many a filmmaker, and took a job working for Paramount Pictures in the late 1970s. Tarantino is known to be a huge admirer of Kael, who passed away in 2001.
