Exclusive Interview – Actress Mercedes Blanche

September 8, 2023 by admin

In an exclusive interview, Flickering Myth sat down with Mercedes Blanche (also known as Mercedesz Meszaros) to talk about acting and her role in Robyn Hood…

Hi Mercedes Blanche welcome to Flickering Myth! Congrats on your role in Robyn Hood but first can you tell us about your name?

Hey guys! I go by Mercedes Blanche as my stage name, it’s easier to remember and pronounce than my birth name of Mercedesz Meszaros – and it has stuck!

Can you tell us about the TV show Robyn Hood?

Yes, so Robyn Hood is an action, drama, sci-fi TV show that is a reimagination of the original Robin Hood where the story follows Robyn Loxley and his anti-authoritarian, masked hip-hop band in the “hood”. They call out injustices and fight for freedom and equality in the city of New Nottingham.

It is a great show from Director X. I play Madison, the love interest of Chet Prince, one of the bad guys in the show.

What were some of the filming challenges?

Very long hours on set!

Did you have to do anything to prepare yourself as an actor?

I was there on set a few days in advance just to have an understanding of Chet and his love interest.

Do you have a particular genre of film you prefer? If so, can you explain?

I really like drama. Since I am more of a bubbly person in real life, I like to bring out deeper and darker feelings on camera. I am preparing for a new film in October and that will be definitely more on the drama side.

Are there any actors or directors you would love to work with in the future? Any actor you’d like to play alongside?

Ryan Murphy! Fingers crossed.

Who are your influences growing up that helped to mold you into who you are today?

Angelina Jolie is number one. Beauty and brain with a good heart for me is a win-win. I have also loved Evan Peters since he started acting. Tim Burton as a director. He just has a special spot in my heart.

Finally, any advice you would give any actor who is trying to break into the entertainment industry?

Never let anyone tell you it’s impossible. You create your own reality just work hard, sneak out to memorize lines and collaborate with others. You will get there eventually.

How can people find and follow your journey?

They can find me on Instagram, X, TikTok and also on IMDB! Thank you so much.

Our thanks to Mercedes Blanche for taking the time for this interview.
