Ahead of its theatrical release this March, a trailer has arrived online for director Jeff Wadlow’s upcoming horror Imaginary.
The film follows Jessica and her family as they move back to her childhood home where her stepdaughter becomes very attached to a stuffed bear, Chauncey, that she discovers in the basement, but as the young girl’s games become increasingly sinister Jessica begins to suspect the bear is more than just a toy. When Jessica (DeWanda Wise) moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement. Alice starts playing games with Chauncey that begin playful and become increasingly sinister.
As Alice’s behavior becomes more and more concerning, Jessica intervenes only to realize Chauncey is much more than the stuffed toy bear she believed him to be.
Featuring in the cast of Imaginary are DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, Veronica Falcon, and Betty Buckley.
Imaginary arrives in cinemas on March 8th.
