2D puzzle platformer Unbound: Worlds Apart coming to PC and Nintendo Switch

September 11, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer Alien Pixel Studios have announced at this year’s EGX Digital that they will be releasing their 2D platform puzzler Unbound: Worlds Apart on PC and Nintendo Switch towards the middle of next year.  This atmospheric game will take players on a journey to discover what caused the destruction of a world.  More of this upcoming title can be seen in the new trailer and screenshots below…

Unbound: Worlds Apart is a hand-crafted Metroidvanian puzzle platformer that follows the adventure of Soli, an alien creature with the ability to create magic portals to different realities.  When Soli finds his home world ravaged by a mysterious catastrophe he sets out to discover what happened and must travel through his magic portals to the different realities to do so.  By travelling into some of these different realities the physical properties of the character or world change, offering new gameplay possibilities.

Players can explore beautiful worlds and use special abilities that will let Soli get the better of the many enemies and fierce bosses that inhabit his world.

Featuring:

  • Beautiful hand-drawn art.
  • Rich puzzle environment.
  • Nonlinear Story.
  • Play with portals.
  • Malevolent enemies that you have to outsmart.
  • Nonlinear Gameplay.

Unbound: Worlds Apart will launch on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2021.
