7 Days to Die Alpha 17 could be with us on Monday

November 17, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Select 7 Days to Die streamers from Twitch and Youtube were last night given access to the experimental build of Alpha 17.  The highly anticipated alpha 17 adds so many new features, including a variety of new vehicles, new POIs and a wealth of new perks.  If all goes well during the experimental then it should be fully released to all on Monday.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Alpha 17 has had a complete art and gameplay overhaul and many of the familiar locations have been re-imagined but there will also be lots of brand new POIs to explore or turn into a base, including a Shamway Factory and a Shotgun Messiah Factory.  Navezgane also sees changes with the addition of the Perishton Courthouse and large Perishton church.

More vehicles have been added with bicycles and motorbikes joining the minibike in the garage, however, should you wish to travel with a friend then the 4×4 vehicle will be essential.  The new vehicles don’t stop there though, The Fun Pimps have also made it possible for players to take to the sky with the new gyrocopter.

The skill system has seen a major overhaul and now centres around 5 attributes, Perception, Strength, Fortitude, Agility and Intellect.  These attributes will affect the player’s body but they can also be affected by equipment, injuries and illnesses.  Each attribute gives access to different skills, for example – the Miner 69’er perk is located under Strength and building the mini bike is under Intellect.

For full details on the huge amount of additions in Alpha 17 check out the Release Notes here.
