SelectaPlay and developer Relevo have released the playable demo of the upcoming Terrifier: The ARTcade Game onto PC via Steam, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. This new demo will give horror-loving gamers the chance to jump into a retro-style bloodbath that mashes up arcade classics with full-throttle horror. Watch the new trailer below….
Sharpen your cleavers and charge your controllers as Art the Clown is back, (in pixelated form) in Terrifier: The ARTcade Game. In this side-scrolling beat ’em up the Terrifier is reimagined in a twisted 16-bit world where chaos reigns, limbs are optional and no one is safe from Art’s sadistic sense of humour. The action will take players from film sets turned slaughter zones to streets littered with carnage.
Don’t let the pixel art fool you, expect over-the-top finishers, grotesquely smooth animations and graphics that channel both nostalgia and nightmare fuel. Players will be able to smash their way through enemies solo or invite a friend to join them in the massacre in local co-op.
Some standout features:
- Classic arcade-inspired combat with a horror twist.
- Graphic pixel violence that’s as creative as it is disgusting.
- Brutal weapon pickups and absurdly fun special moves.
- A chiptune soundtrack that will haunt your speakers.
The full game is headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, with a gore-packed Collector’s Edition planned for PS5 and Switch. But for now, horror fans can jump into the free demo and get a head start on the carnage.
