PikPok Games has unleashed the second major update for their zombie shelter survival game Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days. This latest update adds plenty more content to the early access game adding further challenges to survivors in this post-apocalyptic world. A new trailer showcasing the additions can be seen below….
Surviving the zombie-infested ruins of Walton, Texas is difficult, but with this brand-new update survival is about to get more difficult. Interaction with zombies get much more difficult thanks to new infection mechanics. Should survivors get an untreated infection that turns them into zombies then players must prepare for exiling that survivor from the shelter.
The zombie hordes also get much more dangerous with the arrival of new zombie variants. These new variants will exhibit unpredictable behaviour, meaning players must adapt if they are to survive.
A new survivor also arrives in Walton – Vince is a troubled teen from a wealthy Texas family, combine this with a strong anti-authoritarian streak and you have a survivor that may be hard to handle but may also have some useful skills.
Difficulty settings have been added with this new update, players can now tailor their trip into Walton with pre-set difficulty settings of Casual, Normal or Hard. Alternatively, players can create their own customised difficulty by adjusting a variety of game elements.
Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is available on Steam Early Access now.
