Co-op horror Mimesis launches into Early Access with cinematic trailer

October 29, 2025 by Andrew Newton

ReLU Games has released its new co-op horror game Mimesis onto Steam Early Access. This four-player co-op psychological horror takes players into a world where they can’t guarantee their teammates are entirely human. Watch the new cinematic trailer below to see more…

In the world of Mimesis,a mysterious rain has started to fall that transforms humans into creatures called Mimesis and also creates other monsters. Players will need to work together in a team of four to gather resources and escape by tram. Players will need to keep the tram running and gather materials to repair it, but with every passing moment, the paranoia grows that one teammate may have been replaced.

Thanks to AI, when a teammate is replaced, the Mimesis AI will mimics the voices, behaviours, and memories of the player they took over. This creates an ever-increasing tense psychological battle where to trust a teammate can result in falling for the greatest trap.

The danger isn’t only the threat of a teammate becoming a Mimesis, there is also the threat of getting splashed with the cursed rain and of the terrible monsters that will also attack.

Each run through brings changing environments and new threats, and players will need to explore each new world to find the scraps and resources needed to repair the tram.

Mimesis is available on Steam Early Access now, with a 20% discount available until 10th November.
