Ahead of its release this August, Saban Films has shared a trailer has arrived online for the cannibal horror River of Blood.

Directed by Howard J. Ford (Escape), the film sees a group of kayakers find themselves in a terrifying fight for survival against an indigenous tribe of cannibals after taking a wrong turn.

The cast includes Joseph Millson, Sarah Alexandra Marks, Louis James, Ella Starbuck, and David Wayman. Take a look at the trailer below…

“Two young couples on a luxurious holiday at a jungle resort face a vacation gone terribly wrong. AJ and Ritchie, old friends from college on vacation with their partners; Maya and Jasmine, try to put their relationship troubles aside and go on an adventure. After hiring an edgy guide Nick for a kayaking tour through the jungle, the journey soon takes a dark turn when Ritchie mysteriously disappears. As they search for Ritchie, the couples unwittingly wander into the perilous territory of an indigenous tribe of cannibals known for their gruesome rituals. Their dream-vacation soon transforms into a nightmarish fight for survival on sacred land.”

River of Blood is set for release on August 1st.
