A24’s Saint Maud gets new poster and theatrical release date

July 17, 2020 by EJ Moreno

After having its original April release date pulled due to theater closures around the globe, A24’s Saint Maud is still on the board with the religion-themed horror film now set to arrive on July 17th in the United States.

This news comes just hours after Regal Theaters, America’s second-biggest exhibitor, announced its plans to reopen all 564 North American locations (and more than 7,300 screens) by July 10th.

Cinemark also plans to open some of its 344 theaters nationwide this Friday, June 19th and all by July 10th. Saint Maud will play just a week after Unhinged, the new Russell Crowe film, and only two weeks before Christopher Nolan’s Tenet in its new release slot.

Saint Maud, from director Rose Glass, is described as “a chilling and boldly original vision of faith, madness, and salvation in a fallen world.” Love & Friendship’s Morfydd Clark will star as Maud, and Tony and BAFTA-winning actress Jennifer Ehle joins her as Amanda.
