Aaron Taylor-Johnson boards the assassin-filled Bullet Train

October 25, 2020 by Ricky Church

As David Leitch’s action thriller Bullet Train preps for production, it has cast another one of its many assassins. Per Deadline, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nocturnal Animals) will join Brad Pitt and Joey King in the upcoming film.

Bullet Train – which is based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle by best-selling author Kotaro Isaka – will be directed by Leitch who will also be supervising the script written by Zak Olkewicz. The book follows five assassins who all find themselves on the same train from Tokyo to Morioka. The English translation of Isaka’s novel will be released next year.

Taylor-Johnson will portray one of the five assassins who board the train. He will star alongside Pitt, Joey King (The Kissing Booth) and Andrew Koji (Warrior), all of who will play the assassins.

Leitch, whose credits include Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, John Wick, and Hobbs and Shaw, will produce the project with Kelly McCormick through their company 87North, along with Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick. Brittany Morrissey is the executive overseeing the project for Sony Pictures.

Bullet Train is expected to begin production this fall in Los Angeles.
