Alpha 9.5 brings goodies to Empyrion – Galactic Survival

In order to help fans get through the long wait for Alpha 10, Eleon Game Studios has released some all new content in the Alpha 9.5 update for Empyrion- Galactic Survival.  These goodies include the armored SV/HV cockpits, a new planet to explore, an advanced game start for the more experienced players and bug fixes.

The new armored cockpits for SV / HV can be upgraded from standard cockpits and have a much higher hit points than them as well.  Along with this new cockpit type, their have also been tweaks and rebalances made to cockpits, including slightly increased hitpoints on most standard versions, reduced hitpoints and mass of open cockpits and those of the closed cockpit 05 as well as an updated model of cockpit 3.

For experienced players who desire to skip the tutorial and progress faster, a new start in a wreckage base base has been added.  In this mode players will get a Portable Constructor, Motorbike and Detector, allowing them to get off to a flying start.  In this mode the amount of Crushed Stone needed to obtain Iron, Copper, Silicon Ore in the Constructor has been reduced and the Zirax POI has been moved further away from the starting location.

Other changes include:

  • The addition of a new ocean planet.
  • Code preparations for Unity 2018 upgrade.
  • Updated terrain of moon playfields.
  • Renamed “Body Temperature” to “Suit Temperature”.
  • Added energy requirement for “Wireless Connection”.
  • Removed CPU Points from main page of Control Panel.
  • Alien Organism, Ancient Relics, Fertilizer, Leather, Liquors, Luxury Goods, Narcotics, Optronics, Raw Diamond, Robotics and Toxic Waste have all been added as tradable, non-craftable items.

Bug fixes in this update are:

  • Fixed: Not possible to add blocks to a starter block placed on a Base surface
  • Fixed: Troop transporters constantly attacking player base
  • Fixed: Backpack sync exploit
  • Fixed: Creative Mode: cannot access POI after replacing NPC type core
  • Fixed: Mining rocks did not give XP
  • Fixed: Container Scrollbar cache makes smaller containers first rows sometimes inaccessible
  • Fixed: Survival tent destroyed when dropped and when picked up with inventory full
  • Fixed: Dropping Antenna Blocks did not give back any devices
  • Fixed: Problem that all devices displayed mass of 2kg in Control Panel
  • Fixed: Problem that MoonNascent playfield was always the same (fixed seed)
  • Fixed: Problem that under POI texture was changing between Forest and DeepForest on Temperate Planets
  • Fixed: Problem that lava fog was activated in all Lava playfields
  • Fixed: Colliders too wide on 2 sector map buttons
