AMC’s Better Call Saul renewed for season 3

March 15, 2016 by Justin Cook

AMC’s Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul has been renewed for a third season. Much like seasons 1 and 2, season 3 will consist of 10 episodes, and Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould will serve as the series’ showrunners. Gilligan, Gould, Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein and Thomas Schnauz are all on board to executive produce.

While not quite as high as they were in season 1, ratings for Better Call Saul have remained solid through its second season, as the show has brought in around 2 million viewers each week.

After being hailed as one of the best TV shows of 2015 during its first season and proving to be a more than worthy successor to Breaking Bad, season 2 has been met with an equal amount of praise. Yesterday, the current season reached its midpoint with episode 5, “Rebecca.”

Be sure to check out our reviews of recent Better Call Saul episodes, including season 2 episodes 3 and 4, “Amarillo” and “Gloves Off,” respectively, right here.

Better Call Saul stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill, Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin, Michael Mando as Nacho and Michael McKean as Charles McGill. The show airs on Monday nights on AMC.
