Amy Poehler to re-team with Will Ferrell for new comedy The House

June 14, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the news that Parks & Recreation star Amy Poehler is set to re-team with Will Ferrell for a new comedy.

Poehler, who co-starred with Ferrell in 2007’s Blades of Glory and cameoed in Anchorman 2, is in talks to join Ferrell for comedy The House, the new film written by Brendan O’ Brien and Andrew J. Cohen, who wrote Bad Neighbours. Cohen is also set to make his feature debut as director of the film, with Ferrell and producing partner Adam McKay producing the film under their Gary Sanchez Productions.

The film, which is set to start filming in August, focuses on a married couple (Ferrell and Poehler) who end up losing a massive sum of money earmarked for their daughter’s college fund. Desperate, they team with their neighbours to start a casino in their basement to try to claim back the money.
