Angry Birds indoor golf coming to the UK

January 30, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Do you like Angry Birds and indoor golf?  If the answer is yes to even one of them then you will be excited to hear that Rovio Entertainment and Namco UK have announced they will be developing a series of Angry Birds indoor adventure golf attractions across the UK.

Namco plan on opening five indoor golf sites over the next three years all themed round the internationally popular entertainment franchise and negotiations for the first two locations are already underway.

“We’re thrilled to bring Angry Birds themed golfing experiences to the UK, and we’re excited to be doing it with our friends at Namco. These attractions are a great example of the global appeal of the Angry Birds brand for location based entertainment, which is an important component of our licensing and content roadmap, that is anchored by the much anticipated theatrical release of The Angry Birds Movie 2 in 2019” commented Joe Lawson, Senior Vice President of Content Licensing at Rovio.

Philip Millward, Commercial Director at Namco, stated:
“Everyone at Namco looks forward to opening these attractions, which captures the essence of fun and entertainment values of the Angry Birds theme and the Namco core philosophy of providing our customers with Dreams, Fun & Inspiration.”
