Anime movie All You Need Is Kill gets a new trailer from Warner Bros.

October 18, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Warner Bros. has shared a new trailer for All You Need Is Kill, Kenichiro Akimoto’s upcoming anime feature adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s iconic novel of the same name.

Previously adapted in 2014 by Doug Liman as the Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt-headlined sci-fi action Edge of Tomorrow, the film centres on Rita as she finds herself caught in a time loop during an alien plant invasion, sharpening her skills as she turns into a formidable warrior, until she meets Keiji, a man also trapped repeating the same day.

After an unidentified plant from outer space invasion, Rita finds herself trapped in a time loop, forced to relive the same day over and over again. With each loop, she learns. She fights. Her memories and experiences sharpen her skills, turning her into a formidable warrior. Yet, the endless cycle of death and solitude begins to wear her down. Then, she meets Keiji. “I’ve been repeating this day too,” he says. Two lost souls, trapped in an endless war. Could their meeting change fate?

All You Need is Kill is set for release in Japan in January 2026.
