Antonia Thomas says Misfits movie plans have been shelved

September 20, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Back in December 2012, it was revealed that plans were afoot to bring the BAFTA-winning British television series Misfits to the big screen, with creator Howard Overman stating that he’d been working on a feature screenplay which would bring together characters from the five series of the show. However, it seems that Overman has encountered issues with the availability of the cast, which has resulted in the plug being pulled.

“There was all sorts of talk about it, says star Antonia Thomas, who played Alisha in the series. “We read scripts and I think it’s now not happening. Everybody is doing such different things. Maybe they think everybody has moved on, I don’t know. You never say never but I have not heard anything of it of late. It was a really cool script, kind of getting the old gang back together, it could have been a lot of fun.”

Are you disappointed that plans for a Misfits movie seem to have been shelved?
