Arrow and The Flash showrunner talks crossovers with Supergirl

January 12, 2015 by admin

Last week, we brought you an interview in which Arrow executive producer Mark Guggenheim talked about the possibility of the upcoming Supergirl TV series crossing paths with Starling City or its brother-show The Flash. In an interview with fellow Arrow and The Flash showrunner Greg Berlanti, he discusses the chance of the three turning up on the same screen.

“So much has to go right for us to be able to make a great show,” Berlanti told IGN. “Again, I think of myself as like if I were watching them, I would want to see that. But we have to get so many things right to make a good show and so much of it is luck, unfortunately.”

So far, there have been rumours of who will take on the role of Supergirl (including a wild rumour about British glamour model Gemma Atkinkson taking the part), but so far nothing is confirmed. So, when can we expect some news?

“I hope you’re going to hear about casting soon or we’re not going to be able to make the pilot,” states Berlanti. “As with all these things, there’s only one person, right? That’s the thing. I can’t imagine someone other than a lot of our actors playing these roles so I feel like you’re always just looking for who’s that person.”
