Arrow showrunner gives details on Black Canary, H.I.V.E and Suicide Squad

January 7, 2015 by Luke Owen

Spoilers, in case you’ve not caught up on Arrow just yet…

Following the shocking events at the mid-season finale of season three of Arrow, a lot of questions are on the minds of fans about the fate of Oliver Queen – and what will happen in the wake of his death.

As part of TV Line’s Winter Spoiler season, Arrow Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim has said that the three episodes coming off the mid-season break are, “are among the best we’ve ever done. They’re incredibly compelling.”

“There’s a lot of Thea and Felicity. [Felicity will] have some pretty big moments with Laurel as well, “Guggenheim added, also stating that the death of Oliver Queen “makes it necessary” for her to suit up as Black Canary.

Guggenheim also adds that the H.I.V.E storyline has not been forgotten and will return in the second half of season three while fellow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg reveals, “we’re definitely going to bring back the Suicide Squad.”

While Sara’s killer has yet to be revealed, Caity Lotz will be appearing in episode 13 along with Peter Stormare as Vertigo and Manu Bennett will also return as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke in episode 14.

Arrow returns from its Winter hiatus on January 21st on CW.
