Wyrmbite Studios has announced that its open-world post apocalypse action game, Ashes of Oahu, will launch on Steam on 29th August.   A new trailer can be seen below providing an indepth look at what players can expect on their island adventure.

Ashes of Oahu is inspired by native Hawaiian stories, traditions and beliefs padded out with a smattering of fictitious ghosts, raiders and Hawaiian gods.  In this post apocalyptic story driven shooter players will journey around the island of Hawaii and work with or against the surviving factions and the spirit world.

Featuring:

  • Four different factions to work with or destroy.
  • More than 75,000 lines of dialogue create a massive and engaging narrative.
  • Choices matter and can lead to any one of over 100 different endings.
  • Guns gain new powers thanks to the Magical Weapon Mod System.
  • Over 50 unlockable skills and abilities.
  • Items to craft from Hawaiian resources.
  • Explore 25 sq/km of beautiful locations throughout Oahu, Hawaii.

Anyone who pre-orders the game will gain access to the closed beta and join the developers in this post-apocalyptic game.  Though this isn’t the only way to join the beta, those who join the Ashes of Oahu community Discord or sign up for the community newsletter have a chance to be selected by the developers.
