Bandai Namco Entertainment announces SoulCalibur VI

December 9, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Much rejoicing in the streets is taking place as Bandai Namco Entertainment announces the return of the SoulCalibur franchise with SoulCalibur VI. The SoulCalibur franchise, first released in the arcades back in 1995 has been the go to game for many fans of the fighting genre.  This new game in the series will be available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC via Steam and will see the return of many fan favourite characters.  Watch the new announcement trailer below…

Taking place in the 16th century, SoulCalibur VI revisits the events of the original title with the opportunity to uncover a multitude of hidden truths.  SoulCalibur VI will keep the series’ signature 8-Way Run movement system and introduce brand new gameplay systems including Reversal Edge which allows characters to perform powerful counterattacks based on their opponent’s actions.

SoulCalibur VI will include a whole host of new and old characters including firm favourites, Mitsurugi and Sophitia.

“The fast and kinetic gameplay of SoulCalibur is on full display in SoulCalibur VI” said Mark Religioso, Brand Manager for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. “A stellar lineup of characters and weapons, combined with a simple control layout means gamers of all skill levels can jump into the action and decimate the competition.”

Look out for SoulCalibur VI arriving on Xbox One, PS4 and PC next year.
