Ben Wheatley’s Bulk gets a teaser trailer and promo images

August 8, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival next week, a trailer has been released for Bulk, the new film from acclaimed director Ben Wheatley (Kill List, In the Earth).

The film follows a man’s journey into a string theory experiment theory gone wrong as he is forced into the multidimensional house it has manifested into in order to find its creator.

The cast includes Alexandra Maria Lara, Sam Riley, Noah Taylor, and Mark Monero. Check out the trailer below…

When an overzealous scientist pushes his experiments with string theory too far-his brane explodes. That’s “brane” not “brain”-but that means someone has to sort out the mess he has created. Our hero Corey Harlan is sent in-kicking and screaming-to find the heart of the brane and its creator Anton Chambers. Now manifested as a normal townhouse hosted by the enigmatic and multi-dimensional Aclima –his adventure begins. A house where opening a door from one room to another can lead you to other worlds not just the kitchen.

Bulk will premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on August 14th as the opening film of the Midnight Madness strand.
