Better Call Saul season 6 production could be delayed

August 19, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Production on the final season of Better Call Saul could be delayed says creator Peter Gould.

The fifth season of Better Call Saul finished up earlier this year and now fans are eagerly looking forward to the tense conclusion of Jimmy and Kim’s story with the sixth and final season.

Unfortautnely, due to the shutdown and pandemic, it sounds like season six will take a little longer to begin production than hoped. Speaking to Deadline, creator and showrunner Peter Gould explained:

“We were hoping to go into production by the end of the year. It doesn’t seem likely that it’s going to happen with the situation that we are in.” Though Gould notes that Sony Pictures Television is doing “everything humanly possible” for filming to begin safely, “I think we are probably going to delay a little bit, unfortunately.”

Gould also went on to discuss that the pandemic and social distancing might mean that certain indoor locations might be used less frequently but that it will be just fine as Better Call Saul has plenty of deserts and open roads to use.

Hopefully, it won’t be too long before they can get underway and until we can see what promises to be an epic conclusion to the story.
