Blazing Samurai, an animated feature inspired by the comedy classic Blazing Saddles, has announced its star-studded voice cast, which includes the likes of Michael Cera, Samuel L. Jackson, Ricky Gervais and Blazing Saddles helmer Mel Brooks, who is also executive producing.
Variety reports that the feature, which is being directed by Mark Koetsier (Kung Fu Panda) and Chris Bailey (Alvin and the Chipmunks), revolves around “a scrappy dreamer of a dog named Hank (voiced by Cera) who longs to become a great warrior and fights to save the town of Kakamucho”
Also set to feature in the voice cast for the film are George Takei, Gabriel Iglesias, Aasif Mandvi, Djimon Hounsou, Michelle Yeoh, Sandra Tsing Loh, former Spice Girl Mel B and Heavenly Joy Jerkins.
