Blindflug’s stealth puzzler (re)format Z: now available on Android and iOS devices

November 3, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer Blindflug Studios have announced the release of their dystopian, stealth-puzzler (re)format Z: onto Android and iOS devices.  This completely free title takes players to a dystopian future where revolution must be started to end the totalitarian regime.

In (re)format Z: players are taken to Zurich in 2117 and put in the role of Alice, a member of an organisation called The Resistance who wants to spark revolution and be rid of the corrupt  LIBRIA Corp that is currently in charge.  Players will need to use stealth to sneak past surveillance cameras and drones and cunning to outsmart the security units that patrol the neon soaked futuristic Zurich.

Despite the far future setting, the game actually explores the issues in today’s society by comparing today’s tech giants and the events of the Reformation 500 years ago.

“The impact that the tech companies have had on the modern world is undeniable, they have completely shaped our day-to-day lives and the worrying level of access to our personal data. As a society it’s important for us to not overlook the issues that come part-and-parcel with such developments.” said Moritz Zumbühl, President & Co-Founder, Blindflug Studios. “Data protection, freedom of press and human capital flight are all contemporary concerns, and the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation gives us the perfect opportunity to shine a light on them – as the comparisons are obvious.“

(re)format Z: is available now on Google Play and the App Store.
