Brie Larson has nothing but good things to say about working with Marvel

September 11, 2017 by Jordan Jones

It looks like Brie Larson is having a blast working with Marvel Studios on the upcoming Captain Marvel film. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress expresses relief over Marvel’s personal and creative atmosphere:

“That’s one of the things that I’m so impressed with at Marvel – is that although they are this big company, at the same time their stories are really character driven and they care a lot about the journey of these characters and they understand that these films are a metaphor for the things that are very real in our lives. There’s been a lot of talk about it, they’re really open to the things I have to say about it, and it’s super collaborative. It feels like any other job at this point, which is really wonderful.”

Whenever actors discuss these big-budget-tentpole-studio-films, the most common response is that the process can feel really impersonal. Marvel Studios’ bread and butter has always been creating a family-like atmosphere for directors, and actors. The studio always seems to have the long-game in mind, and an important part of that is creative talent that will keep coming back. More importantly: that will WANT to keep coming back.
