Bryan Singer clearly isn’t busy enough. Although he is still putting the finishing touches to X-Men: Days of Future Past and is attached to write, produce and possibly direct the sequel/prequel/interquel X-Men: Apocalypse for a 2016 release, he is now on board to helm the pilot for Battle Creek, the latest series from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan.
Over at The Wrap, it is reported that Singer will only direct the first episode from a script written by Gilligan. The synopsis of the show is as follows: “Together, they must answer the question: is cynicism, guile and deception enough to clean up the semi-mean streets of Battle Creek Michigan in the face of a lack of resources, or will naivete and trust get the job done?”
