Bubble Bobble 4 Friends will release with the 1986 arcade classic

October 9, 2019 by Andrew Newton

ININ Games has announced that they will be including TAITO’s  cult 80’s game Bubble Bobble with Bubble Bobble 4 Friends when it releases for the Nintendo Switch in Europe on 19th November.  This means that as well as the 100 stages with the new game, players will also be able to enjoy the 100 thoroughly enjoyable levels from the original.

ININ Games has also revealed that during the pre-release window there will be a Bubble Bobble 4 Friends Special Edition available in retail stores that will include two keychains of the main characters Bub and Bob, as well as four trading cards and a poster.

Bubble Bobble provides classic platforming fun as players lead the twins Bub and Bob through 100 levels of differently arranged platforms in order to rescue their girlfriends and defeat the evil Baron Von Blubba who has turned the brothers into bubble dragons. Players are able to play this solo or in 2 player co-op.

The upcoming Bubble Bobble 4 Friends continues the platforming fun through 100 colourful levels for up to 4 players.  This title also sees the return of the “extend” bubbles that float around the screen, these bubbles will provide players with special skills that will add strategic depth and increase replayability.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends will release in Europe and Australasia on 19th November and in north and south America in early 2020.
