Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons arrives on PS5, Switch and Steam

November 27, 2025 by Andrew Newton

The long wait is over, and the cutest duo who first came on our screens back in the 80s are back with Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons. This latest outing for the adorable Bub and Bob is available on the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, and is bundled with the home console release of Bubble Symphony, featuring the characters and worlds of other TAITO games.

In Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons, little Bub has awakened to find himself in a strange laboratory, and the mysterious Don Dolchen has asked him to collect treasures that are in dungeons and castles. Always eager for treasure, Bub agrees and sets out on his unusual adventure.

As Bub, players will move through bizarre dungeons, using his bubble-blowing ability to defeat his enemies and to help reach platforms. As Bub travels through the dungeons, he will discover treasure that he can use to become stronger, learn new skills and advance deeper into the castle. Bub isn’t alone on his adventure; he is joined by Ammie, a robot created by Dolchen. Ammie will help when there’s trouble and also chat away like an old friend.

There are two editions of Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons available: a Standard Edition featuring the game and the home version of 1997’s BUBBLE Symphony, and the Digital Deluxe Edition that includes the game, BUBBLE Symphony, a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack, and a 100-page digital artbook.

Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons is available now on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Steam.
