Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Its Legacy: 25th Anniversary Retrospective

March 10, 2022 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno with a video to celebrate 25 years of Buffy…

On March 10th, 1997, Buffy The Vampire premiered on television. Over seven seasons and more than 140 episodes, the horror-inspired campy series brought its viewers thrills, chills, and laughs. A cultural phenomenon was born from that moment, and television was changed forever.

Now, 25 years later, the effects of Buffy are still felt all over television. From inspiring other shows to launching the career of everyone involved, you can’t escape what Buffy The Vampire Slayer has done for pop culture. Just think that we wouldn’t have hit shows like Supernatural or The Walking Dead if it wasn’t for this little horror engine that could.

In the below video, we dive into the legacy and the impact of Buffy The Vampire Slayer 25 years later. Host EJ Moreno breaks down his favorite episodes, the best characters, and just how much we feel the influence of the Joss Whedon-created series today.
