Casting call suggests Asgard will feature in Avengers: Infinity War

February 6, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Recently the Atlanta Journal-Constitution made notice of an Avengers: Infinity War casting call seeking “to fill a fun background role with men and women, any ethnicity, who appear to be 18 – 50s – especially men with long hair and beards. You’ll need to be comfortable with fake blood and with wearing special effects makeup.”

The take away here is that the mega-blockbuster will likely be headed to Thor’s home world of Asgard, where it doesn’t sound like happy times are occurring. Unless Thor: Ragnarok changes things up, presumably Thanos will be paying a visit in search of the Tesseract, a.k.a. the Space Stone, which is currently locked away in Asgard’s vaults.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently in production ahead of a release on May 2nd 2018, followed by the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4 on May 3rd 2019.
