Chris Evans talks Avengers: Age of Ultron action scenes, “Man, the Avengers just kicked ass!”

March 3, 2015 by admin

It’s not long now until Earth’s Mightiest Heroes team up again to take on villainous artificial intelligence in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Captain America himself Chris Evans has been talking about his role in the movie, along with Tony Stark’s involvement and the team-up nature of the film.

“I think [Captain America] feels very comfortable in a sort of leadership role, but I don’t think he gives orders,” Evans told Yahoo! News. “He does structure, organization — he’s a military guy. Tony [Stark] is definitely paying the bills, and since there really is no company to report to, we’re kind of this independent unit that needs to rely on each other and work as a team, even in their day-to-day lives.”

But for Evans, the most exciting parts of Avengers: Age of Ultron are the action scenes.

“I like all the scenes that we get to have together,” Evans says. “In this movie, it’s not about having stand-out moments, it’s about trying to have stand-together moments. You want to have scenes where you’re like ‘Man, the Avengers just kicked ass!’. If it’s every man for himself, then it defeats the purpose of what this movie is. We have individual films for that. So I like the scenes where – as a unit – we’re all wrecking shop. And we get a bunch of those in this.”

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for release in the UK on April 23rd and North America on May 1st, with Joss Whedon directing a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (The Incredible Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Paul Bettany (JARVIS / The Vision), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), James Spader (Ultron), Stellen Skarsgard (Erik Selvig), Thomas Kretschmann (Baron Strucker), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Claudia Kim (Dr. Cho) and Andy Serkis (Uylsses Klaw).
