Chris Miller briefly addresses latest Solo: A Star Wars Story rumours

March 29, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Earlier this week Vulture posted a detailed reporting quoting an “anonymous actor” who apparently worked on May’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, and offered up some alleged details about the behind-the-scenes goings on up to and after the departure of original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The LEGO Movie).

According to the source, the directing duo “seemed a bit out of control”, “definitely felt the pressure”, and that the first assistant director “had to step in to help them direct a lot of scenes.” The report was denied by a spokesperson for the filmmakers, and now Miller himself has taken to Twitter to briefly comment:

Maybe don’t believe everything you read

— Christopher Miller (@chrizmillr) March 27, 2018

Given that the original report came from an anonymous source, it’s entirely possible that it was simply speculation based on all of the rumours and whispers that have been doing the rounds these past few months. What we do know however is that Ron Howard came on board to oversee a significant round of reshoots, and we’ll get to see for ourselves how things have worked out when the movies opens this May.
