Co-op horror Dungeon Done comes to Steam Early Access

December 7, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer Groovy Moai has launched its co-op horror extraction game Dungeon Done on Steam Early Access. Dungeon Done takes players into what is believed to be a cleared dungeon.  For those wanting to know what they are getting into and how best to survive, check out the new ultimate dungeon guide below….

Unlike other dungeon games, where players take the roles of brave adventurers with plenty of combat experience, expensive equipment and a god or goddess watching over them, Dungeon Done sees players take on the roles of a group of scavengers who venture into a dungeon that is believed to be cleared, in hopes of finding overlooked treasure. However, it remains filled with traps and dangerous monsters.  What was intended to be a quick search for loot soon turns into a fight for survival.

There’s no point fighting for survival through the dungeon if no treasure is taken home, so players must thoroughly scour the dungeon to find any remaining loot and then work together to secure a safe escape route.

The game currently offers two main maps to explore, the Cult Temple and the Dungeon of Greed.  The Cult Temple is a place of dark magic and necromancy, various monsters roam the halls as cultists prepare to summon a powerful reaper.  Avoid the traps, evade the monsters and escape before the reaper arrives.  The Dungeon of Greed was once a hideout for raiders but has become a monster’s lair. Search the maze-like corridors for treasure but don’t let the hunger for gold blind you to what awaits in the shadows.

Players will start off as unexperienced and poorly equipped but collecting loot and completing quests helps to increase their rank and provide training opportunities that increase their attributes, such as movement speed, stamina and bag capacity.  Any treasures found can be exchanged for gold at the pawnbrokers and used to buy equipment, such as survival potions, invisibility potions or items that help the whole team like healing wands.

While roaming the dungeons, look out for Treasure Goblins, these little fellows carry valuable loot but will run at the first sign of danger. Be sure to be quick in the take down of these chaps but don’t get carried away by greed and blindly run into danger.

Dungeon Done is available on Steam Early Access now.
