CODA leads the winners of the 2022 SAG Awards

With the Golden Globes shunned this year, Hollywood came out in force last night for the 28th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which celebrated the best in film and television performances from the past twelve months across fifteen categories.

Big winners on the night included CODA, which received the coveted Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture award along with Troy Kotsor who won Best Supporting Male Actor and made history by becoming the first deaf actor to win a SAG Award.

Other film winners included Jessica Chastain (Best Female Actor for The Eyes of Tammy Faye), Will Smith (Best Male Actor for King Richard) and Ariana DeBose (Best Supporting Female Actor for West Side Story), while the TV honours went to the likes of Succession (Outstanding Drama Ensemble) and Ted Lasso (Outstanding Comedy Ensemble).
