Connie Britton and Oliver Platt join Professor Marston and The Wonder Women

November 23, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Connie Britton (Nashville) and Oliver Platt (Chicago Med) have joined the cast of Professor Marston and The Wonder Women, writer-director Angela Robinson’s upcoming biopic of Wonder Woman creator Dr. William Moulton Marston.

The project will see Luke Evans (The Girl on the Train) as Marston, with Rebecca Hall (The BFG) as his wife Elizabeth and Bella Heathcote (The Neon Demon) as the couple’s live-in lover Olive Byrne. Britton is set to portray Josette Frank, “a brilliant and uncompromising psychologist who thought Marston to be anti-feminist and believed his ideas were dangerous”, while Platt will play hot-tempered Sensation Comics editor M.C. Gaines, the man who discovered Superman.

Professor Marston and The Wonder Women is currently shooting, with the film set to arrive after next year’s Wonder Woman solo movie, which sees Gal Gadot reprising her role from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
