Fox has announced that actress Connie Britton (American Horror Story, Nashville) has joined the upcoming drama 9-1-1, which reunites her with creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (American Horror Story, American Crime Story).
Britton is set for a lead role in the series, which follows the lives of police, paramedic and firefighter emergency responders as they balance their high-pressured, heart-stopping experiences with the problems in their personal lives.
9-1-1 is set to premiere on Fox in 2018, and also stars Angela Bassett (American Horror Story) and Peter Krause (Six Feet Under). Murphy and Falchuk have created the show and written the pilot, and will also serve as executive producers with showrunner Tim Minear.
