Creepy 3D platformer Pumpkin Jack coming to PC and consoles later this year

February 20, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Celebrated indie publisher and developer Nicolas Meyssonnier have announced that they will be releasing creepy 3D platformer Pumpkin Jack on PC and consoles later this year.  With an epic battle between good and evil, and challenging puzzles to solve, this looks to be a game that fans of MediEvil and Jak & Daxter will enjoy.  See more of Pumpkin Jack in the trailer below…

In Pumpkin Jack, the peaceful ‘Boredom Kingdom’ and its happy residents have sent the Devil himself into a flying rage.  Determined to get rid of the happy people, cute bunnies and adorable puppies the Devil has unleashed the dreadful Curse of the Eternal Night upon the kingdom, and to prevent the mighty wizard from ruining his plans has also released the spirit of Jack, the Pumpkin Lord.

Taking the role of the titular Pumpkin Jack, players will fight their way past the wizards magical beasts to punish those who would defy the will of his master.

Pumpkin Jack will feature:

  • A colourful cartoon setting with landscapes crafted with vibrant colour palettes and high-quality lighting effects.
  • Challenging beasts lurk around every corner but can be fought with a variety of combo attacks.
  • A variety of weapons to unlock and use against those who oppose him.
  • Solve puzzles that focus on physics, gravity, and reflection.
  • Find helpful companions to help Jack on his mission, including a haughty hooty owl and a snarky crow.

Pumpkin Jack will be available for PC and consoles towards the end of the year.
