Daisy Ridley says Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was her favourite Episode to film

November 15, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Daisy Ridley, the star of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, reveals that the film was her favourite to be a part of out of the entire sequel trilogy.

It’s not long now before fans will get to experience Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker for themselves and the culmination of the entire saga in the process.

Rey actress Daisy Ridley has starred in all three films but which of the movies was her favourite to make? Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ridley revealed that The Rise of Skywalker was her best experience:

“It’s the first time I’ve filmed more confident because I feel like there was nothing else I could’ve done. The third one for me was the best. It’s a big film for everyone. I did all of the emotions: I did frowns, I did smiles, it was the sort of biggest breadth, and I think that’s also why I had such a good time, because I got to do so much s**t – like, physically, emotionally – and I got to work with so many people.

“I get a bit scared because this year a lot of good things happened. You’re like, ‘Oh no, is the universe storing up something?’ But then I was like, ‘Well, f**k it if it is. I’d best enjoy this time.'”

Episode IX is certainly a big deal and the last Star Wars film we will get in cinemas for quite some time. Hopefully, audiences end up loving the movie as much as Ridley loved making it.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set for release on December 19th 2019 in the UK and December 20th 2019 in North America. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker sees J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) directing a cast that includes Star Wars veterans Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix), Greg Grunberg (Snap Wexley), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa) as well as new additions Naomi Ackie (Lady Macbeth), Richard E. Grant (Logan), Dominic Monaghan (Lost), and Keri Russell (The Americans).
