Dark fantasy necromantic deckbuilder Throne of Bone arrives on Steam

April 23, 2025 by Andrew Newton

After going through a whole year of community-driven development, developer Windmill Slam’s dark fantasy deckbuilder Throne of Bone finally arrives in version 1.0 on Steam.  Celebrating the release, the developers have released a new trailer (see below) that highlights the full game’s new content and refined systems.

Throne of Bone puts players in the role of a necromancer who is determined to build up an army of the undead and reclaim his castle and throne.  Players will be able to recruit a variety of undead minions, experiment with different combinations of minions and take part in turn-based auto-battles.  Every decision made by players, from casting to summoning can influence the flow of battle, and players are rewarded based on foresight and adaptability.

With roguelike progression, players will unlock lost relics, perform unholy rituals and gain mastery over different necromantic spells to use against ever increasing challenges.  Players will encounter new variables and plenty of surprises as they perfect their undead build and reclaim their throne.

Featuring:

  • More than 60 unique undead minions.
  • Over 70 different necromantic spells to get an edge in combat.
  • More than 50 rewards to earn in the reclaiming of your throne.
  • Numerous different castle activities to add variety to the runs.

Throne of Bone is available on Steam now, with a 10% discount available until 29th April.
