Dark Side of the Ring season 3 premiere trailer delves into the story of Brian Pillman

May 1, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Vice TV has released a trailer for the two-part season 3 premiere of its acclaimed pro-wrestling documentary series Dark Side of the Ring, which delves into the tragic story of WCW, ECW and WWE superstar Brian Pillman.

At a time when giants dominated the wrestling world, Brian Pillman clawed his way to infamy by playing an unpredictable and outrageous character dubbed ‘The Loose Cannon’. But an unwavering commitment to his 24/7 performance put him on a path to self-destruction that left his family in financial and emotional ruin.

In addition to the trailer, Vice TV has also announced that subsequent episodes of Dark Side of the Ring season 3 will delve into the stories behind the Ultimate Warrior, The Dynamite Kid, Luna Vachon, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts and his father Grizzly Smith, Chris Kanyon, Nick Gage, the Collision in Korea PPV in North Korea, the WWF Steroid Trials, the infamous Plane Ride from Hell, and the FMW and XPW promotions.

Dark Side of the Ring season 3 premieres on May 6th.
