Deadline is reporting that David S. Goyer’s Phantom Four and Addictive Pictures has snapped up the rights to Deeper, a new script from Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra).
The project is a drama which sees “a disgraced astronaut embarks on a mission to reach the bottom of a newly discovered oceanic trench, theorized to be the lowest point on planet Earth. He encounters an increasing level of danger, and soon finds himself in a psychological (and physical) fight against mysterious forces.”
Next up from Landis is Victor Frankenstein, a reimagining of Mary Shelley’s gothic horror classic starring James McAvoy as Frankenstein and Daniel Radcliffe as Igor, which opens in the States on November 25th and in the UK on December 3rd.
